Diakritika v generovaném obrázku

Mám problém s jedním scriptem, který generuje obrázkové nadpisy. Vše funguje jak má, jediný problém je s kódováním. Pokud použiju českou diakritiku, většina znaků se zobrazí chybně. Bohužel jsem nepřišel na to, jak script upravit aby zobrazoval i české znaky.

Script používá font, který načítá ze souboru. Ten obsahuje i české znaky.
