---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- Developers that use the GNU GPL protect your rights with two steps: (1) assert copyright on the software, and (2) offer you this License giving you legal permission to copy, distribute and/or modify it. For the developers' and authors' protection, the GPL clearly explains that there is no warranty for this free software. For both users' and authors' sake, the GPL requires that modified versions be marked as changed, so that their problems will not be attributed erroneously to authors of previous versions. Some devices are designed to deny users access to install or run modified versions of the software inside them, although the manufacturer can do so. This is fundamentally incompatible with the aim of protecting users' freedom to change the software. The systematic pattern of such abuse occurs in the area of products for individuals to use, which is precisely where it is most unacceptable. Therefore, we have designed this version of the GPL to prohibit the practice for those products. If such problems arise substantially in other domains, we stand ready to extend this provision to those domains in future versions of the GPL, as needed to protect the freedom of users. |

No ak to pouzivas ako libku, budes musiet zverejnit cely kod. Nienadarmo sa vravi, ze GPL nakazi cely kod. Hladaj nieco s licenciou LGPL alebo BSD. Popr. napis svoje.
edit >> existuje aj ine riesenie. Napises si medziaplikaciu, ktora bude vyuzivat GPL kniznicu - sama sa teda stane GPL, ale napises ju tak aby vysledok svojej prace predavala v nejakej samostatnej jednotke (v novom protokole, ktory navrhnes), ktoru potom nacitas vo svojej app. Tusim, takto nejak funguje uzavrety soft pod Linuxom. |

hm to je škoda :( me se ty grafy moc libily :( On stejnak co jsem viděl, spousta firem používa například editor HTML ve svých redakčním systemech a nikdo žadny zdrojak nezverejnuje .... maximalne tam uvedou, že ten editor je zdarma .... dokonce odstranujou i odkazy na matersky web od kud to stahli... Je to pak v poradku tohle chovani ? Hrozi tem firmam vubec nejaky postih ? |

Kedze je aj pod LGPL, mozes ho pouzit a nic neuvolnovat. Ale ak sa bude app predavat (komercne vyuzitie), treba si kupit licencovanu verziu.
Vid wikipedia: The main difference between the GPL and the LGPL is that the latter can be linked to (in the case of a library, 'used by') a non-(L)GPLed program, which may be free software or proprietary software. This non-(L)GPLed program can then be distributed under any chosen terms if it is not a derivative work. If it is a derivative work, then the terms must allow "modification for the customer's own use and reverse engineering for debugging such modifications." Whether a work that uses an LGPL program is a derivative work or not is a legal issue. A standalone executable that dynamically links to a library is generally accepted as not being a derivative work. It would be considered a "work that uses the library" and paragraph 5 of the LGPL applies. A program that contains no derivative of any portion of the Library, but is designed to work with the Library by being compiled or linked with it, is called a "work that uses the Library". Such a work, in isolation, is not a derivative work of the Library, and therefore falls outside the scope of this License. Takze ak PHP program iba vyuziva kniznicu, este to nie je odvodene dielo, a je mozne ho sirit ako closed source. |
